PhD Rasim Muratović was born in 1956 of March 1th in City Olovo. He finished Elementary school in Olovo 1971 and Central Railway school in Sarajevo the 1974th year. Department of Sociology at the Faculty of Political Science he ends 1978th year, with sverge score (nine) B and recived the title of professor of sociology. During the study his awarded two times with Silver University Badge. He acquired Master degrees 1985 in Interdisciplinary graduate school in Sarajevo with the theme: „Technobureaucracy and Communist Party in the socialist system“ which has earned the title of Master of Social Sciences.

From 1978th to 1984th year he was employed by the Municipal Committee of the Communist Party of Sarajevo Center, as well as professional and political activist and dierector of the Working Community. In period from 1984th to 1994th year he worked in the Ministry of Internal Affairs of the Republic of Bosnia and Hercegovina, in the Public Station Security Center doing jobs of asistant of defense preparations. At the Faculty of Criminal Justice Science in March 1994 he was elected for senior assistant to the Basic sociology and Psihology.

Since the summer 1994th until summer 2003rd year he lived in Norway, where he worked as assistant researcher at the Sociological Institute of the University of Bergen, later as First Secretary of the Central Bureau for Social Insurance Bergen municipality, next as a visiting lecturer at the Royal naval Academy in Bergen.

During the 1996th year in Norway he spent six months at the renowned High Technology Center in Bergen, where he studied the technique of designing and implementation of various types of projects.

After hes return from Norway, from September 1 in 2003rd untill September 1 2004, he was employed at the publishing hous „Sejtarija“ in Sarajevo as a commercial director, and since September 2004th untill September 2005 year he worked in the Graphic-publishing house „Around“ from Sarajevo at place a commercial director.

PhD Rasim Muratović get his doctoral thesis on the topic: „The Holocaust against the Jews and genocide against Bosniaks" in 2005th september. Shortly afterward he is elected as external associate of the Institute for Research of Crimes against Humanity and International Law of University of Sarajevo, which is from 1 april 2006th a regular contributor.

He has published 16 books (8 are translated from norwegian to bosnian language, while remaining 8 consist of his own copyrighted works). The book „The Holocaust against the Jews and genocide against Bosniaks“ experienced two editions. He published as the author 34 scientific papers and essays in norwegian and bosnian languages, two novels and four research projects.

He took part in 13 international and 19 national conferences, round tables and symposia devoted to crimes against humanity and international law. Reviewed 10 books, edited 19 books and promoted 25.

He participated in 32 TV and radio shows, gave 18 interviews and print media statement 14 different TV stations, discourse 22 lectures on genocide and the Holocaust, as well as participated in the work of 10 organizational committee.

His book „The Holocaust against the Jews and genocide against Bosniaks“ was included in the catalog Published by Oxford University Press in association with the United States Holocaust Memorial Museum. In addition, dozens of publishing houses in the country and abroad, including the American publishing houses and booksellers Tarmans Books have included this book in the sales catalog, the book has found its place on the Yale University Library.

From desicion of the Scientific Council of the Institute for Research of Crimes against Humanity and International Law, University of Sarajevo, No. 565-2/I-13, 18 November 2013, PhD Rasim Muratović became a SENIOR RESEARCH SCIENTISTfor the domain „Sociology“. Consent to the choice made by the Senate Univerzitea in Sarajevo, Decision No. 01-34-792, dated 6 November 2013 year.

From desicion of the Federal Minister of Justice from 02 November 2009, PhD Rasim Muratović becomes permanent court interpreter for the Norwegian language, and descision of UNESCO's Department of Science and Culture authorized translator for Norwegian language. Active speaks, writes, and translates Norwegian, and uses the English language.

On the basis of a public competition, conducted the election procedure of the Director of the Institute for Research of Crimes against Humanity and International Law, University of Sarajevo, on the basis that PhD Rasim Muratović, senior researsch scientist to the Institute, was elected to director of the Institute.

As Director of the Institute PhD Rasim Muratović will perform in the next four years, with effect from 1 June of 2014. Decision on the appointment of PhD Muratović presented the rector of the University of Sarajevo, PhD Muharem Avdispahić, at the 22nd session of the Senate of the University of Sarajevo, on 4 June 2014th year.
