The Institute for the Research of Crimes supports the adoption of the Srebrenica Genocide Resolution at the United Nations and announces the publication of an important work

The Institute for the Research of Crimes Against Humanity and International Law of the University of Sarajevo closely follows and supports the initiative for the adoption of the Srebrenica Resolution at the United Nations. Through its comprehensive activities, the Institute plays a crucial role in scientific research that contributes to the understanding and documentation of the truth about genocide, crimes against humanity, and international law. In line with this mission, we are proud to announce that in the coming days, a work resulting from years of scientific research on the role of the Federal Republic of Yugoslavia in the aggression against the Republic of Bosnia and Herzegovina will be published, and at the end of the month, it will be promoted. The book titled “Decoding Aggression: The Supreme Defence Council of the Federal Republic of Yugoslavia and the War Against the Republic of Bosnia and Herzegovina,” authored by Muamer Džananović, Hikmet Karčić, Emir Suljagić, and Sead Turčalo, represents the joint result of the work of three educational and scientific institutions: the Srebrenica Memorial Center, the Faculty of Political Sciences of the University of Sarajevo, and the Institute for the Research of Crimes Against Humanity and International Law of the University of Sarajevo. This publication is of exceptional importance as it provides detailed insights into the Serbian state mechanisms and decisions that led to aggression and crimes, offering an essential perspective for understanding the dynamics of aggression against Bosnia and Herzegovina. The publication will clarify to the broader public why there is such resistance from the authorities in the smaller Bosnian-Herzegovinian entity, Republika Srpska, and the Republic of Serbia itself towards the mentioned Srebrenica Genocide Resolution. We call on the international community and the wider public to provide support and attention to this important Resolution, as well as the upcoming publication, which, together with the Resolution, represents an important step in the fight against denial and revisionism.
