INSTITUTE JOURNAL PUBLISHING PROCEDURE LAUNCHED
The Council of the Institute for the Research of Crimes against Humanity and International Law of the University of Sarajevo, at its regular session, unanimously accepted the initiative of the Institute Director to launch the Institute's Journal.
The Institute for the Research of Crimes against Humanity and International Law, founded in 1992, is a scientific research institution and a member of the University of Sarajevo. Its work is focused on multidisciplinary research into crimes against peace, genocide and other serious violations of international humanitarian law, encompassing historical, legal, sociological, criminological, economic, demographic, psychological, political, cultural, medical, ecological and other aspects relevant for a comprehensive scientific understanding of these topics.
By launching the Journal, the Institute is making a significant step forward in improving scientific research, especially considering that it is the leading institution in Bosnia and Herzegovina for the scientific research of war crimes and genocide.
The members of the Institute Council unanimously decided that the editor-in-chief of the Journal will be Dr. sc. Muamer Džananović, senior research associate and director of the Institute. Dr. Džananović expressed a firm commitment to setting high scientific standards, both in terms of the composition of the editorial team and the quality of published papers. The goal is for the Journal, through continuous publication, to be recognized and verified in as many reference international scientific databases as possible. Special attention will be paid to enabling the publication of papers in English, which will further open up the Institute for cooperation with eminent world experts, some of whom will also be included in the work of the editorial board.
