On the occasion of the 30th anniversary of the genocide against Bosniaks in Srebrenica and its surroundings, committed in 1995, commemorative gatherings were held in the German cities of Rosenheim and Nuremberg, which were also attended by Dr. Sc. Muamer Džananović, Director of the Institute for Research on Crimes against Humanity and International Law at the University of Sarajevo.

In Rosenheim, in front of several hundred attendees, a central commemoration was held, organized by the Srebrenica 1995 e.V. Association. The program was dedicated to the memory of the victims and the struggle to preserve the truth about the genocide. Dr. Džananović gave a lecture at the gathering.

The commemoration in Nuremberg, held under the motto of reminding and calling on the conscience of humanity, brought together representatives of the German political, religious and civil sectors. In addition to Džananović, the gathering was also addressed by Gerhard Groh, a member of the SPD, Dr. Thomas Amberg on behalf of the theological community, Selma Jahić, a witness to the genocide, and Hamid ef. Pintol, the chief imam of the Nuremberg Jamaat.

In the evening, as part of the commemoration in Nuremberg, a thematic panel discussion was organized, at which Dr. Džananović spoke. The panel discussion attracted the attention of numerous participants and opened up space for active dialogue and exchange of opinions.

The commemorations in Rosenheim and Nuremberg once again confirmed the importance of international remembrance of the genocide and the continuous struggle for truth and justice.
