In the packed hall of the Travnik Municipality, on Saturday, December 6, 2025, the book “Jajce 305/705. The Glorious Mountain Brigade of the Army of the Republic of Bosnia and Herzegovina” by Dr. Sci. Amir Kliko, Senior Research Associate at the Institute for Research of Crimes Against Humanity and International Law, University of Sarajevo, was presented.
The book was recently published by the Institute and the Municipality of Jajce. The presentation featured speeches by Dr. Sci. Kenan Dautović, Mayor of Travnik, Dr. Sci. Muamer Džananović, Director of the Institute, and Generals Emir Kliko and Fikret Ćuskić.
The presenters emphasized that the 305/705 Glorious Brigade left an indelible mark in the defense of the Republic of Bosnia and Herzegovina, noting that the largest number of brigade members fell on the Travnik battlefield. They also highlighted the historical and symbolic importance of the Jajce brigade, both for the town of Jajce and for Travnik.
Dr. Sci. Amir Kliko, in his address, stressed that he intended to do much more than merely record historical facts – through this book, he gave a voice to those who can no longer speak, built a bridge between the era of resistance and the present, and created a work of lasting value.
At the conclusion, the author emphasized that it was particularly meaningful for him to hold the book presentations in both Jajce and Travnik on the same day, cities that have marked his life journey. After being displaced from Jajce, he found his new home in Travnik. He further highlighted that the 305th Mountain Brigade was formed in Travnik, which, along with other battlefields, occupies an exceptionally important place in the brigade’s wartime path.
